Swansea may offer deals to free agents - Williams
Luke Williams says Swansea City may offer contracts to free agents Cyrus Christie and Adam Reach.
Defender Christie, 32, and utility player Reach, 31, have spent a second week training with Swansea having originally linked up with Williams鈥 squad at the start of the international break.
Head coach Williams has been monitoring the free-agent market as he continues attempts to strengthen his squad.
Asked what chance there is of Christie or Reach being offered a deal at Swansea, Williams said: 鈥淪ome. I think probably I can鈥檛 tell you things at the moment because we haven鈥檛 had the discussions first. As and when we do that I will report to you.鈥
Christie, a former Swansea loanee who was released by Hull City at the end of last season, would offer cover across Williams鈥 defence.
Reach, who has been without a club since his contract at West Bromwich Albion expired in the summer, is happiest playing as an attacking midfielder or out wide.
鈥淲e identified two very good quality players who are without a contract at the moment," Williams added.
"We have had a chance to have a look at these guys and they have had a look at us as well.
鈥淭hey are two brilliant players, high-level players, and two very good characters as well. We don鈥檛 bring the wrong people into the group.鈥
Christie and Reach would be allowed to sign for Swansea outside the transfer window because they are unattached.
Swansea are 11th in the Championship ahead of Saturday's trip to Blackburn Rovers.
The Welsh club signed only eight players 鈥 including two goalkeepers - during the summer transfer window.
That was despite the fact that 13 senior squad members 鈥 plus four youngsters on the fringe of the first team - departed during the close season.
