Luton Town and Sunderland have been fined by the Football Association for a mass confrontation at the end of their Championship game last month.

The Hatters were fined 拢15,000 and the Black Cats 拢7,000 for failing to control their players and technical staff.

The incident came after the final whistle of the fixture at Kenilworth Road on 23 October, which Sunderland won 2-1.

Luton pair Carlton Morris and Joe Taylor plus Sunderland duo Luke O'Nien and Jobe Bellingham were all booked by referee Tom Nield for their parts in the fracas.

The FA's written report described it as an 'unnecessary and unsightly demonstration' of both teams' players being unable to control themselves.

The incident came in the immediate aftermath of a Luton appeal for a penalty and was prompted by the coming together of home goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski and Black Cats defender Chris Mepham.
