Hull KR confirm Opacic exit at end of season
Super League leaders Hull KR have confirmed Tom Opacic will leave the club at the end of the current season.
The centre, who has scored 13 tries for the Robins since signing in 2023, has been a key component of the side which tops the table with five rounds of the regular season remaining.
But the former Parramatta Eel, 29, has decided to bring his time on Humberside to an early close after signing a contract extension until 2025 last year.
Hull KR head coach Willie Peters paid tribute to the Australian's contribution.
"Tom has played an important role over the last two seasons and we thank him for his contribution to get Hull KR to where it is today," he said.
"As we look to the end of the season, Tom remains an important member of the squad for the remainder of 2024."
Hull KR sit top of the Super League table ahead of Wigan Warriors on points difference.
