When you were at school did you know anybody who was dyslexic? Maybe you did, but you might have just thought they were 'a bit thick'.Ìý If you went to school twenty or thirty years ago, dyslexia was something that was often either not spotted, or not believed in by teachers.

Today, it's not uncommon for students to get extra help, time and funding for their dyslexia, but it wasn't so long ago that pupils could go through their whole education without knowing they had it, or anything about it.
