Event details: The Staffordshire Moorlands Volunteer Centre have been busy potting plants with local volunteers and service users at Rethink in Cheadle for the last few weeks and will be joining forces for a final 鈥減otting up session鈥 at the beginning of Volunteers鈥 Week.听 The hanging baskets, troughs, tubs and shrubs that have been nurtured, pruned and potted by the volunteers, are being raffled off to raise money for all the local charities involved in the project 鈥 including Rethink, Cheadle and District Home Link and Cheadle Breast Cancer Support Group.听Due to their nurturing skills, there are plenty of surplus pots which will be available for the public to purchase by donation, for one day only on Cheadle Market on Saturday, 7th June.听The Volunteer Centre team will be joined by lots of the local volunteers who have been involved in the project to raise as much money as possible. The Volunteer Centre would like to pass on thanks to Rethink, The Honeycomb Project, Moorlands Waste, Morrisons, Draycott Nurseries, Alton Towers, Forget Me Not Florists and all those individuals who have donated time, pots and plants to the ever-growing collection!听 All funds raised from the raffle and market stall will be donated back to the local community groups involved 鈥 so please do go along to Cheadle Market to get a pot to brighten your patio!
