Chris Moyles and his team - including Comedy Dave and producer Aled Jones - broadcast their show from the 成人论坛 Centre in Hanley on the morning of Thursday 18 June, 2009.

For the past few years Chris has taken his karaoke roadshow around the country. On Wednesday 17 June, it was held at Jumpin' Jaks nightclub in Hanley.

600 people were there after snapping up free tickets, which went in 13 minutes of the announcement on his show. Some ticket-holders took to the stage alongside the Moyles team and sang with a live band.

Before the gig, team show producers Aled Jones and Rachel Jones also visited Berry Hill School to talk to pupils.

Connections to Stoke

Although Chris is from Leeds, he has more than one Stoke connection.

As well as working for RTL Radio Luxembourg (until it closed!), and GWR (Bristol), he also had a stint with Signal Radio at its studios in Shelton (Stoke).

And, when he moved to Radio 1 in 1997, he did it using the services of another Stoke hero, Bruno Brookes.听 Chris was managed from 1997 to 1999 by BBME, (Bruno Brookes Media & Entertainment).

Bruno was one of Radio Stoke's most popular DJs before moving to Radio 1 himself.
