Just a couple of weeks after more torrential downpours and mudbaths at Glastonbury, the sun shone on Henham Park in Suffolk for the second year running.

Arcade Fire, Damien Rice, Jarvis Cocker and The Good, The Bad & The Queen were among the musical headliners but the festival also features literary readings, poetry, cabaret, films and comedy.

The first Latitude Festival was in 2006 and the attendence nearly doubled in 2007.听

Going to festivals may mystify a lot of people who prefer their creature comforts (clean toilets, sleeping under bricks and mortar etc.), but Katy explains what the attraction is.
