Shakespeare’s words have now found their way to every corner of the world.

But even during his lifetime, his plays were able to reach far beyond the places we most associate with Shakespeare, like London's Globe Theatre or his hometown of Stratford-upon Avon.

With his acting troupe - The King’s Men (originally the Lord Chamberlain’s Men) - William Shakespeare plays were heard around the country.
