Teacher Notes
This clip could be used to explore cyber bullying.
Students could discuss the ways in which this is different to bullying in the playground, and brainstorm examples of this type of bullying behaviour.
Students could also be asked to consider whether they believe this type of bullying is more or less serious and give reasons why.
They should note that while cyber bullying cannot physically hurt someone, it is a serious form of emotional abuse.
Different strategies are required to tackle this type of bullying, and students could work in small groups to develop an action plan for what they could do if they encounter this.
This could also be an opportunity to explore issues around confidentiality, privacy and online safety.
This clip will be relevant for teaching PSHE and Modern Studies at KS2 in England and Northern Ireland, PSE at KS2 in Wales and First Level and Second Level in Scotland.
