Teaching life lessons

Reading stories stimulates your child鈥檚 imagination and helps your child learn about the world.

Stories are a great place to start introducing lots of different life lessons, such as road safety.

Whether you鈥檙e reading a book about an important topic or making up your own story, make sure to include lots of repetition.

This is a great way to encourage your child to learn new words, as well as any routines.

Ask your toddler to fill in the words if you鈥檝e read the story before, and name what they see in the pictures.

This will help them remember what they鈥檝e learned when they鈥檙e out and about.
