Most surprising thing about being a dad?
"How fast kids grow. Also, I get a lot of random people speaking to me when I'm out shopping, or even walking down the road. I've learned to become the characters of every book I read, doing different voices and actions, to gauge his interest in the story."
Greatest piece of dad advice you鈥檝e been given?
"Work out what his different cries mean, which makes it much easier to sort any issue he has."
Best thing about being a dad?
"Having someone that loves you unconditionally even when you've had the worst day and don't look great. The best feeling is when I do something funny and he can't control his laughter. And becoming a dad helped me realise what goals I need to focus on and the timescale they need to be achieved in."
Describe fatherhood in three words?
"Tiring, rewarding, life-changing."
One thing you didn鈥檛 think you鈥檇 do as a dad (but now do)?
"Put my kid on a lead like a pet, because he does not stay still when walking out and about! This and spending less time out drinking and more time at home or doing activities."

"Patience and getting him changed in record time."
