"I've been going 'round Wrexham; I took a large number of photos. I wanted to use reflections, so I tried to find three different surfaces to take these self portraits in. I wanted to include the camera in it.
For the first one I took, I just used the mirror from a shop selling outside.
Second, there's this large metallic statue behind the church in Wrexham. There's lots of yellow in Wrexham, that's what I found out. Some of them sort of intigrate into my other pictures, but it isn't the feel of them.
I wanted to find yellow, not purely just yellow objects, but yellow hidden amongst other colours, to stand out.
On going to the top of the carpark in Wrexham, I found a syringe, which looks like it's been used for narcotics of some sort, lodged in a corner. And the cigarettes on the floor; I like the text used in the picture.
I didn't want natural shapes, so I was looking in buildings and I was mainly looking on the floor. I like how it's just a double yellow line, but it's seven lines. There's more to what you see.
I went into shops looking for fashionable things. I like the mannequins and how they look; I like the way they're standing.
I went into a charity shop where everything's a pound. I quite like the raggedy clothes. I tend to dress differently every day, it just depends what I feel like.
The first video was at Wrexham fire station and there was some firemen practicing something on a ladder, but there's a lot of red in it. I was thinking of Wales when I took that. I found, just on the way there, there was a park and just three abandoned beer cans. I wasn't trying to be symbolic or anything, it's just what I found.
And the last one's just of the same feature behind the church; a reflection of Wrexham. I just like how it looks like it's the same picture, but it's been altered, but it hasn't."
