In Uganda, a story is told of three siblings who led destitute lives in their childhood, but have decided to make sure that as many orphans as possible do not experience a repeat of their own experiences when they lost both their parents to Aids.
With the help of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, a Canadian charity, they have set up their own organisation, Phoebe Education Fund for Orphans, which seeks to improve the lives of old widows and the numerous grandchildren they have to take care of, orphaned by Aids.
Joshua Mmali went to see how they are changing lives in villages in Jinja, about 80kms east of Kampala.
