After 18 days of protest in Egypt, President Hosni Mubarak has stepped down. The announcement happened at approximately 1600 GMT. The army will now take control.
Rashad from Bahrain emails - The Army says it will ensure that reforms will happen in an attempt to overcome the people untrust of the Government. What assurance the Army has that those leaders -- appointed by the president -- will remain after the protesters leave the streets?
