Who has already won from South Africa 2010 - and who has lost?

I'm about to walk over to a restaurant on Vilakazi Street in Soweto to help with the preparations for a big do we're hosting today. The first hour will be WHYS and we'll look at who in South Africa has benfitted from this World Cup and who hasn't. The next hour (also live across 成人论坛 World Service) will see us launch WCHYS with fans from every team that's here.
We'll update as the day goes along on Flickr, twitter (me, Mark, WHYS), Facebook (WHYS, me) and here on the blog. As ever, your questions are as welcome as your comments.
And we want to ask - who are the winners and losers of the World Cup preparation?
The tournament may not have started, but the preparations are six-years old. Eye-watering amounts of money have been spent, and can that be justified when water, electricity, schools and hospitals need urgent attention. South Africans will tell us, and of course you can respond to what they say
Anna Babcox, US: GO SOUTH AFRICA!!! I live in America, but I've gotta say I'm rooting for South Africa, I am so glad the world cup finally made it to South Africa. Good luck in the game!

Freddie Kiplimo, Eldoret: We must expect extraordinary scenes during all this - the fact that this is the first Cup in Africa. Who knows, an African country can try to get to the quarter final!

Mauso Benya, Uganda: Africans have won, in terms of an improved perception of Africa by the west - that yes, Africa, we can! The Afro-pessimests are the losers.

Blaise Buma, Lexington, Virginia: Africa will win the cup - specifically, The Indomitable Lions! I can't wait. I hope the world sees a different side of Africa this time, not all the doom and gloom painted by the western media!

Aniebiet Efiong: Its a win for SA because the world is focused on them now... this could mean more foreign investments for the country. This is money properly spent

"It''s for us as South Africans to show that the unity we show towards Bafana Bafana is the unity we have as a country" receives much applause in the restaurant. What is your feeling - can the World Cup help unite the country?
