Environmental design is about how structures affect the surrounding area. This can include sustainabilityMinimising the impact of a product on the environment and the historical preservation of buildings.
Interior architecture
A building architect designs the structure of a building and gives advice about the construction. An interior architect looks at reconstructing or reshaping an internal space.
Interior architects reimagine existing spaces. They might move walls, remove doors or completely redesign the inside of a structure.
They must understand a building鈥檚 structure, including electrical systems and plumbing. Their focus is on functionality. Their designs show what the space will look like.
Landscape architecture
Landscape architecture involves outdoor spaces such as streets, housing estates, shopping centres, town centres, playgrounds and parks.
