An animated film trailer about a teenager who’s a suspect in a number of house burglaries. A police officer asks about his whereabouts one summer, and enquires about specific dates and times. The boy has a strong alibi, describing what activities he was doing in his freetime at the time, but it seems that the evidence is against him.

Pupils could work in pairs, where one takes the role of the police officer and the other the suspect in order to create a new interview. Based on the language used in the clip, they should use a variety of verbs in the past tense – ‘ich habe’ + past participle or ‘ich bin’ + past participle.
