What a lovely day to talk to the monkeys! What are they saying?
Sounds like that monkey is saying 'ough ough' to rhyme with 'tough', 鈥榬ough', and 'enough, because he looks like he's had 'enough' bananas.
That monkey's 'ough ough' rhymes with 'though', 'dough' or 'although'. Although, I think he should probably pick a different branch!
The words are all spelt with the letters O U G H, but the sound is different.
That monkey is saying 'ough ough' like you would in 'bought', 'thought' or 'fought'.
You're right, he ought not be doing that.
Well don't you look appealing!
The letters 'ough' can be said in many different ways. Say these words out loud to hear the different sounds.
Can you think of any more 'ough' words?
