FM&T will help to transform the way the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ produces content through the Digital Media Initiative and by phasing out the need for tape.

Today's Pic Of The Day is of a big ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ initiative: so big, in fact, that we've included Nick Reynolds in the pic to give a sense of scale of the large poster that overlooks our workspace.

It's the Digital Media Initiative and it will inform almost everything we're going to be covering on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Internet Blog.

The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳'s Chief Information Officer, Keith Little, explains more in a :

I guess this is the type of thing you've been doing with the Torchwood game, lots of small websites and projects bolted together in a day or so by several teams.

I'm pleased that more content will be digitalised and at everyone's disposal. That sounds great. But by the way what's happened to the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Programme Catalogue? That's a great resource but it's been out of action for ages! It's almost a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wiki without the wiki. Bring it back!
