³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Online Industry Briefing: Children's Product Update
Hello, I'm Phil Buckley, the Product Manager for C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ and CBeebies interactive.
My editorial colleagues Japhet Asher, Rachel Bardill, and I gave a talk on Thursday 17 November to a group of suppliers, both to introduce those new to children's content to what we do, and also to meet talented new agencies who might be interested in our upcoming work.
As always, the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ is not responsible for any risque/ off message jokes:

Children expect games from the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, as Lisa Blythman-Wood, of VML London, :
#bbconline games page as important as the homepage for C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳
Johan Jardevall of Valtech :
Happy to see html5 being investigated for use in future C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ games - good fun watching the games demos #³ÉÈËÂÛ̳Online
But :
#bbconline briefing, very much focusing across 4 screens, experimenting w/html5 games despite taking what can be produced back 10yrs
The product update had plenty of chances to include games and fun. Laura Ellis, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Head of New Media in Birmingham, :
very fine demo of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Childrens' game 'Moo Spew' by @mrrobinmorley. Moral: Never kidnap a cow and take it on a boat #bbconline
Edd Uzzell, Sony, , which asked youngsters to find "Seb Blatter" and "racism" in a grid.
A highlight from #³ÉÈËÂÛ̳Online conference was the great word search on #C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ site. ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ news should add this to imgur.com/3xWPL

Please let me know where I can find your "on message" and "off message" definitions and any document that outlines what happens when you do not know where something sits within these.
I am also concerned about the "PC Grooming" of children as shown by youngsters to find "Seb Blatter" and "racism" in a grid. This is mainly the job of parents. I take it the PC brigade need to ensure that everyone is opinion cloned for our future. Are you Orwell's Ministry of Truth?

OK, I wrote the 'off message' line before I'd given the prez and I didn't know at that stage exactly what I was going to say. There is no hard definition I am aware of, but to paraphase Sir Alex Ferguson, I was basically born off-message and can get carried away into making inappropriate jokes, so I thought it wise to indemnify those who employ me. However, in practice I think I was relatively well behaved.

I am, though only in a personal capacity, not for work. (I'm telling you things you already know here I'm sure, but you know that Orwell's Room 101 is based on a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ meeting room he used to have to go to?). Or rather - if you are concerned about the plurality of voices within C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, I would really recommend that you check out the website/ watch the channel, which I feel definitely gives children a flavour of different aspects to an argument. Fantastic stuff IMO on Autism recently at /newsround/15655232 - and the Richard III song at /cbbc/clips/p00hf64l is certainly against the historical grain.
Best wishes-
Phil
