i am appalled by ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ coverage thus far, firstly create bizarre national expectations in the road race, and then you present a sulking Cavendish who blames the other teams negativity for his loss (surely such a professional team as GB would have anticipated any negativity from the opposition and would have had a plan in place to counter act it - obviously not !, all the other teams are laughing your faces, and GB was never in control of that race as your commentary suggested), and then from time to time you continue to call your team England - come on stop insulting the welsh and the scots and the northern irish - get your act together

Enjoyed the basketball coverage yesterday, and what a pleasant surprise the interval entertainment was. GET TRICKY we're just awesome!

  • Comment number 3.

We love the basketball coverage. We would also love to see a group called Get Tricky. My kids love them and dream that one day jump rope will be an olympic sport. Please consider providing more coverage of this group so we can watch them as well!'

  • Comment number 4.

Awesome competition coverage; however, would love it if you would also broadcast the basketball halftime performance by GET TRICKY. I have read about this amazing group of jump rope athletes!

Great coverage of basketball. Love the halftime entertainment "Get Tricky". Rope skipping is a growing international sport. Would love to see more of this international group of skippers.

I am pleased to see the above comments of support for Get Tricky. Here's a little tid bit about all of this...Kids all over the world participate in the sport of JumpRope, the hope is to one day see it as an olympic sport. GetTricky is group formed from master level jumpers around the world, they have traveled many miles, put in many hours, worked threw injuries to practice and prepare for these performances at the olympics. It has been all over the internet how hard they have worked for this moment on behalf of the children around the world who love this sport. We have MANY children all around the world anxiously waiting to see GET TRICKY do their jumproping at the Olympics! However, it is not being broadcasted currently. What can we do to fix this? How can we get to see these mentors pave the road for the future of this sport? Maybe you folks in charge would like to know how the international jumprope community keeps the olympic spirit alive??? These are a few things I know and am proud to share as a jumprope mom: jumpers in India went into Pakistan to help this country start a jumprope program for their countries children. There is a program called One World One Rope started by one USA allstar jumper he began a program in Kenya and Tanzania. At the beginning of this effort, these kids jumped with what looked like Garden Hoses and within two years, these kids had equipment, uniforms, and teams that now compete on an international level. This year, another USA allstar jumper went into Trinidad and Tobago and ran a workshop for their children and is helping the country start a national program. Folks in Belgium, and Holland helped the program in South Africa. There are currently jumpers all over the world enroute to an international comeptition in Tampa, Florida, USA. There are so many anxiously waiting to see the introduction of a sport so many around the world love be broadcasted and shared. Please consider airing GET TRICKY, so the entire world has a chance to see what the olympic spirit is all about threw a jumprope and all the kids can continue to dream big!

I'm loving the Olympics so far, the opening ceremony was fantastic and a true British spectacle, however having listened to commentators and sports people within Team GB I do wonder if we have become arrogant; e.g we will easily achieve 48 medals, cav will easily win the road race, etc,etc (surely something that is deserved thru ability & endeavour & on the day). When foreigners are asked about the opening ceremony; "how was it compared to China's?", that's all that would appear to have mattered.

Cav's attitude at not winning, sadly was'nt very sporting, was it !, and regarding the ceremonies; China's ceremony was powerful, huge & to the point, ours was quirky, funny & very british, and I have no doubt's Brazils will be flamboyant and very colourful, but being better ?, is such a statement justified.

It is quite right that sports people have confidence, but there is a very fine line between confidence and arrogance, Cav expected to win, someone should have told the 27 other sportsman that finished before him.

Regarding the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳'s coverage I am surprised that the extra channels on sky (channel 450>) have not been mentioned, I stumbled across them by chance, utterly brilliant, that said commentary has'nt been great, "shot their load" too soon for example, and I'm sorry to be a killjoy but I was'nt impressed with Trevor Nelson's commentary during the opening ceremony, at least we know his family was in the stadium.
So overall fantastic, bar a bit of arrogance & some very iffy commentary. Will we do as well as in China; No. But what does matter is that the athlete's do their best & enjoy the games. After all did'nt someone say; it's the taking part that matters/counts ?.

The Olympics 2012 Red Button Service is fantastic. I have one small request which may improve it. An updated design can be found on Twitter here:

Some TV's are slow and going to each page takes a few seconds (A -B, C-D etc). Having one page for all live events would be great!

Please could the woman who is commentating on the men's diving learn their names instead of 'the guy on the right'. Sorry I don't know her name, the woman on the right, maybe!

Opportunity lost. Did you realize one of the amazing jumpers with GET TRICKY is from Brazil. They preformed today during halftime of the women's basketball game - Russia vs Brazil. It would have been a great opportunity to highlight another amazing sport to the world. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let the world see this up and coming sport. You could still show the first half stats on the screen by moving them to the bottom of the screen. You have another chance to highlight these athletes during halftime of the women's Angola VS USA game later today. Hope you will. Thank you.

can anyone tell me where you can find a list of what is currently on the 24 olympic hd channels.
The timetable just shows what is coming up

What is with the equestrian red button coverage? Yesterday we couldn't hear Mary King's interview and today it's William Fox-Pitt, instead all we get is breathing and background muttering
