Crash Bang Wallop!!

Raj | 14:38 UK time, Tuesday, 19 August 2008

Well its been a "crash bang wallop " of a non stop weekend - watched both "Bachna..." and "God..." and although I dread loosing six hours of my life watching two movies back to back in a dark cinema hall -Ìý 2 turkeys of moviesÌý can drain the most optimistic optimist - left the screen feeling elated.

Both are good - "Bachna..." is funÌý and frothy,Ìý Ranbir and especially Bipasha stealÌý the show - Mariah Carey eat your heart out - while "God.." leaves a smile on your face - Salman plays to the gallery and it works while Amitabh as God is all seeing all knowing!Ìý The shows were fun and on Saturday Ranbir revealed how he found a sense of peace at The Golden Temple.Ìý We waited in vain for Aruna Irani to be released from her shooting to speak to us - but being the thorough professional the legend is her filming always comes first. But we didn't care - we admire her and "pagal aunty" (that's the R&P affectionateÌý name for her when she scared us in her role in "Phir Wohi Raat"!) and cant wait to get her on R&P's Love Bollywood Legends - so watch this space.Ìý Looking forward to "Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam" this week - it reunites Rahul Bose and the magnificent Malika Sherawat - she can do no wrong in my eyes and looks stunning. Even the remix of the classic "Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya" from the original movie works. This week sees the arrival of the Bollywood Bandwagon in terms of the Unforgettable Tour. La family Bachchan, Ritesh, Priety and of course Shilpa Shetty are all set to rain a Bollywood Bonanza this bank holiday weekend in their trailblazing tour. Can't wait...

Hi Raj and Pablo: Saw God Tussi Great Ho on opening day, and I thought it was a very good entertainer. It did have 1990s vibes all over it, but it was a light-hearted film that made the audiences laugh, so I enjoyed it.

I like to think I have the intellectual capacity to take off my thinking caps when watching something like this. Enjoyed the song 'Laal Chunariya', and thought it was a great sequel to 'Laal Dupatta' from another Salmab-Priyanka film, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi!

    Here are my thoughts:

Cheers! And enjoy the concert this weekend. I went to the L.A. concert, and we were very fortunate to have Madhuri Dixit, who, along with Amitabh Bachchan, were the highlights of my experience.
