Blame

Raj&Pablo | 12:51 UK time, Tuesday, 2 December 2008

We know there's always blame when terrible tragedies occur. With recent events in Mumbai unfolding over last weekend, it was very interesting to hear what some Bollywood industry insiders had to say.

Raj: Naturally Rajeev Masand gave us an intimate account of exactly what the atmosphere in Mumbai was like after the attacks. He was the first person we spoke to on air about the attacks, and he outlined how Mumbaikers do not need to be reminded about their spirit, something I was taken aback by, little did I know it would be reiterated a number of times that day.

Pablo: Sadly Ashish Chaudhary lost his sister and his brother-in-law in the attacks. When Vikram Butt talked to us about Ashish I found myself fighting back the tears. Vikram Bhatt, Madhur Bhandarkar and Rohan Sippy had the same sentiments that Rajeev Masand had, they don't want to hear about the spirit in Mumbai, they want to feel protected, they never want anybody to be able to infiltrate Mumbai in the way these individuals had. Vikram Bhatt even went as far as suggesting the Indian government is the one to blame.
