Slumdog, Bollywood Braveheart and King Khan
It's been a been another hectic week, the snow has melted and we finally feel 2010 has started - we caught up with friends had fun and frolics throughout the week. What we've noticedÌýevery time you switch on the TV there is some programme or another referring to a Slumdog Season!
There is more to India than slums, maybe the weather is finally improving now the Indian Winter Season has ended, but on a positive note it was great to see two Bollywood Blockbusters shown at a decent time -OM SHANTI OM and DHOOM 2 the reaction has been fab.
Is it us or does everything look really grubby at the moment? What we need is some Bollywood Bling to cheer us up and to a certain extent we got that with the eagerly awaited Salman Khan Brave heart meets Bollywood.
Veer has it's moments Salman's good, Mithun is terrific, and Zarine Khan makes an excellent debut - could have been tighter and the battle scenes stronger - the non asian actors weren't that impressive but on the whole the essence is great, ignore the critics and watch this if you are a Salman Khan fan - as usual he excels!
ÌýNext week there are two releases- Ram Gopal Varma's look at the media in Raan with Amitabh Bachchan and the Vidya Balan starrer Ishqyia. Both are different films and look promising which one are you going to see first?
FinallyÌýare we good to you or are we good to you? - The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Asian Network is giving you the chance to join us in conversation and be part of An Audience with Shah Rukh Khan for more details go to the website bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork
