Mason vs Princess Superstar - 'Perfect Exceeder'
I have something to declare at the beginning here: I absolutely worship Princess Superstar. I'll be completely objective in my capacity as reviewer, of course, but my conscience compels me to get that out of the way at the beginning. And when I heard 'Perfect' was being remixed into a dance track where there'd inevitably be some leggy models lip-synching to her vocals in the video, my heart sank a little bit. Why no fame for Princess Superstar? She's worth it, as the lyrics point out.

The good news is, however, that I needn't have worried. All of the trademark sass of the original is still here, just running at a faster BPM and with an echoey electro backing which does a nice job of head-tilting towards the robotic theme of her last album. It's from the school of electro that's designed to be equally appealling to clubbers and gymgoers, which left this reviewer with the unfortunate side effect of not being able to sit still while he was writing this. I'll go back and delete all the unintended keymashes in a minute, just to make sure you can read it.
So as far as I'm concerned, this is a win-win. Faithful remix? Check. Crossover potential? Check. More people might find out who Princess Superstar is? Check. Reviewer learns not to complain about something until he's actually heard it in future? Definitely check.
