Emma Bunton - 'All I Need To Know'
Hey, was there a decision taken to allow power-ballads back in? Did I miss a meeting? Surely this well-used formula - where the first verse is wafty and piano-led, then there's a quiet chorus, then the drums kick in for a meatier version of same - was outlawed by the Geneva Convention some years back (it was the same meeting where it was decided that the Darkness had 'gone beyond a joke', for you history buffs)...

Luckily, this is less like one of those great big Westlife-y ballads where everyone in the entire world is supposed to bow down all at the same time and give thanks to the eternal glory of love everlasting, while standing on top of a big hill.
No, this is more like one of those great big Spice Girl ballads where you're supposed to be so overwhelmingly in love with your man that it makes you want to improve your inner self, possibly using the medium of yoga, or one of those bacterial drinks you see on the telly...
Problem is, unless you're actually in that frame of mind yourself AND you really miss the golden days of Spice hits like 'Viva Forever', the dragging pace and out-dated 'classy' production are going to get really boring, really quickly.
And LOOK, she's even doing the video in SLOW MOTION...surely slowing down a song this slow is a recipe for going backwards in time, or something?

I like it... it's nice and understated, and GOD I'm so tired of Westlife. Gorgeous video too.
i love this song! 2! thats not a goood score! what happened to 5? lol
I think it's a really nice song, but the video looks a bit like one of those dodgy videos they have behind the words for karaoke.
I love this song! I hope its gave another hit for Emma Bunton!
