Red noses and faces
There are moments when I stop and try to take in how cool it can be sometimes working on The Chris Moyles Show. One of those moments happened this morning. Stood there on London's Embankment this morning at just past nine standing under the London Eye, after hitching a ride with Russell Brand, gawping at all the celebs while talking to Chris and the team live on Radio 1 contemplating which of the Comic Relief celebs to kiss live on
I don't often get nervous when doing things on the show – so the load I was papping proves how much I struggled with the concept of kissing one of these legends live on breakfast TV. Graham Norton came very close to being the chosen one, being on the end of the line meant I could conduct a quick escape if things went wrong, but the hordes of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ TV producers, staff and security bods that were already angrily waving me away, made me think better of kissing someone who wouldn't know who I was. Russell Brand was my second favourite, but the winner was good old Lenny Henry. Walking onto shot at the very last second the self-proclaimed fan of the show was the way in. A quick peck and £500 later (donated by the very kind Mr C Moyles) and I was dodging the angry onlookers who weren't finding it very funny.
is one of those events that can still generate excitement. Children In Need, for all it's HUGE importance to the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ and to charity organisations doesn't get me all fired up – at least nowhere like Comic Relief. Radio 1's involvement with Comic Relief goes WAY back. From for the charity in 1999 when he presented the longest ever radio show lasting a whole 37 hours, to our own attempt at raising money with the Red Nose Rally in 2005. 2 years ago we raised £628,282 when we, a load of famous cars and our truck of luck drove from John O Groats to Lands End.
This year, the Truck of Luck is back, and we're going take our Karaoke nights out on tour with... The Chris Moyles Rally-oke! Genius.
I had 5 mins to chat to one of the celebs there at the launch for tomorrow's launch. Who else could it be? I HAD to talk to Davina. Find out the love-fest between us tomorrow on the show, and get ready with your vocal cords for the best karaoke in the country coming soon! (Well, March).

"I was dodging the angry onlookers who weren't finding it very funny"
Quite ironic that the organisers of Comic Relief have no sense of humour!!
I found it funny anyway!
