Hi. Long term listener, first time blogger here.

I'm Piers, the Exec Producer of the Chris Moyles show. I took over from Rhys - big boots (and bigger trousers) to fill.

You might remember me from such shows as Jo Whiley, Dave Pearce and if you are old enough - the Zoe Ball breakfast show (ask your mum and dad).

It's been about three months now, so I thought it was time to introduce myself properly...


Or more accurately I was voluntered by Chris to write today's enthralling episode. If you listen closely you might have heard Chris refer to me - usually in the context of me moaning about something. And you thought Rachel was bad…..

It's been an odd day so far for me. I've had to deal with a brand new presenter, his insecurities and concerns about his new show. Considering it's Aled, and he only has to present for 30 minutes, I think he's taking things a bit seriously.

Anyway, nice to meet you all, and make sure you listen to our brand new Radio 1 signing - Aled Jones, live on Radio 1, tomorrow (Thursday) from 9.30am...
