Curries, Reeling and Yoga
Good afternoon - I'm just listening to girls aloud infront of the computer feeling very pleased with myself for making a Chicken Korma...In these credit crunch times I'm trying to do more cooking and stop myself going out - and having a big moan up from the husband for spending more money..
I am properly aching all over as still feeling a bit podgy from festive period and finally have shaken off the incessant winter lurgy I went for a 4 mile run around some resevoirs in yorkshire. Very pleasant but nearly broke me!
To be honest I wasn't feeling 100 per cent as had my first Burns night on Saturday. Was so much fun the speeches and poems were a right laugh - one from a bloke having a moan up about women - then the girls get to reply...Haggis, Neaps and Tatties...really good and this milky whiskey oat drink thing..And to finish off Scottish dancing...or reeling - can't remember the ones we did - a strip the willow and a dashing sergeant??? Anyway if you need to keep fit thats a good way to go - only did about 4 dances but had a proper olympic sweat on - which is most unbecoming when trying to be a lady in a big ball dress!
Now i've made supper for the next 2 nights the plan this afternoon is now to go and have a couple of hours sleep (as only had about an hour last night) and then to a new Yoga class to stretch out all my aching muscles! Hopefully I'll still be able to walk in the morning..
Looking forward to seeing how Greg James gets on busking today - those lovely London commuters!! I hope they're feeling generous! Its money week on Radio 1 so for all your worries just check out the pages on this site! Nice of Peter Jones to be positive this morning when everything else is so depressing!
Over and out....zzzz
