In years of using electronic systems for communications it has always struck me that
we can never better face to face communication in the same room.
I have used trans-national video conferencing and for all it's clever tech it cannot match the understanding possible when talking with another person in the same room.
Email has benefits but it can so easily be mis-understood as, for example, when humour is intended but not perceived by the recipient.
