Lowkey @ The Electric Proms this Sunday

Post categories:

Bobby Friction | 16:42 UK time, Tuesday, 21 October 2008

If you're one of the lucky people who have tickets, then let me just say you're in for something special.Ìý I've been playing Lowkey on the Friction show for a while now, and we have our hands on our hearts when we say he could possibly be one of the best MC's in the UK right now!Ìý Yes - we're talking Riz MC style heights of dexterity and delivery.

We first played 'Let Me Live My Life' - aÌýShakespearian story of his life as a MuslimÌýafter the London tube bombings -Ìýover a year ago.Ìý We were hit straight away by the unique flow he had as well as the sharp intellect at work behind the words.Ìý In that context we had to make him a 'Friction Introducing' artist.

Alphabet Assassin, his latest exercise in rebuilding the English language is also a moment in musical time, and needs to be heard (to be believed) if you haven't opened your ears to it.Ìý Check his MySpace, and listen to the Mongrel remix (members of which might be at the Electric Proms gig!) or just watch this!
