    No surprises there then.

This much needed facility is going ahead. Good.

It was always a case of when rather than if, it should not take a genius to see what a bad idea this is, if French company SITA want to pollute a country burning 240,000 tonnes per year, 174 lorries a day they should try France but part of the contract allows them to import from around the globe, SITA are going to smash our county

Cornwall has been crying out for some kind of industry, now we have it, is it a matter of not in my back yard? Just think what employment this will generate, in a county that is desperate for fulltime all year round jobs.

Money should come a distant second to health YC and I strongly suspect you would be able to count on the fingers of one hand the amount of people who currently live in the area who will be employed by this, yet everyone in the area will be affected with regards to long term health, I agree work is important but not at any cost

Yes Gaz health is paramount and needs to be safeguarded at all costs, but it also can be used so easily as a tool to get your own way. I have seen plenty of placard waving, advertising the possible health hazards but no real facts.

OK there could be a little health problem if you are an early morning jogger, especially with an extra 90 lorries a day on the roads, and you are only accustomed to seeing horse and carts.
