Hello everyone! To celebrate the , I have TWO amazing tips from the local ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Introducing shows family. 

So who better to tell us about Koloto and Alaskan Faction than the two guys who tipped me off onto them – the brilliant and the man, the legend, Dean Jackson from (who first brought Jake Bugg and Dog Is Dead to our attention). Take it away guys!

Jacob from ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Introducing in Kent: Koloto is also called Maria and she’s from Canturbury. She’s a member of Canterbury band Delta Sleep, but only recently started putting her solo tunes on the . We first heard this, Antares, about a month ago. It’s really exciting and experimental music, all glitchy and beautiful.

Dean from ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Introducing in the East Midlands: Alaskan Faction are 4 lads from Nottingham Uni, whose music is a heady cocktail of Bombay Bicycle Club, Peace, The Maccabees and Foals (you get the picture!). I played their debut Eyes In The Sky back in June, and this track Powerlines could well be the soundtrack to summer 2013 – with airy sunshine-laden riffs and a hook to die for!
