The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ licence...to be or not to be, free?
Thanks for feedback to Saturday's item on the TV licence fee. You can listen again to the full piece here -
'The sooner the licence fee is replaced as a method of funding the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ the better.' MG
'I don't have a TV, but I'd pay £150 annually to support radio. I'd consider it an investment in my own sanity.' Deborah Angel
'I'm appalled by the view that the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ has no business to be 'on-line'..it's one of the few ways that people outside the range of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ medium-wave, long-wave or FM radio broadcasts can stay in touch.' Michael Walker
'I don't have a TV and I arranged to swear an oath with my solicitor and sent it to the licensing authority and they stopped sending me letters'. Niall Uprichard
'Having finally established that I don't watch TV, they are now sending requests to my Church!' Forager from Cheltenham
In response to what Mick Penning told us, TV Licensing says
'We ask people to let us know if they don't have a television in order to keep our records up to date. If people don't do this, then they may receive letters aimed at evaders.'
Your thoughts and comments welcome as always.
