Manchester International Festival – Day One
- 28 Jun 07, 09:25 AM
I’ve been asked to be the eyes and ears of the for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Manchester.
I can’t remember when I was so excited about a Festival, but there is one heck of buzz around the place as the red carpet gets its final beating over a gigantic washing line across Oxford Road (metaphorically speaking of course).
So here we are on day one, and I was up at the crack of dawn, which may turn out to be a mistake as I’m not due on the radio until 10pm. But before that there’s the opening party (with buffet) to attend and then the small matter of the world premier of Monkey at The Palace Theatre.
And if that isn’t enough excitement to cope with for one day, I’m told that none other than (Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films and that cold-blooded terrorist in Die Hard) will be joining me and Phil Wood on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Manchester from 10pm.
I’ll be keeping an eye on what the think of the Festival. Let us know if you’re going to any of the events as we’d love to link out to you.
Alan Rickman
Due to popular demand I'm pleased to report that the Alan Rickman interviews are now available for all to hear. Just click this link and see how Alan became a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ microphone stand for the night.

Hello
Will there be an archive of the Alan Rickman interview available for listening anywhere? Unfortunately I have a conflict at 10 PM your time and will not be able to listen live. It doesn't look as if the Phil Wood show is available to after the fact listening on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ site. Hoping you can help?
Thanks!

And will the longer Rickman interview from earlier in the day be archived or otherwise made available for the many of us who missed it? I join CatsPlay in hoping you can help us.

Hello Again,
I have been appointed the head 'beggar' from a large group of Alan Rickman fans. Not only are we in great need of being able to re-listen to the Phil Woods show with the Alan Rickman interview, but we also understand that there was a separate, longer Alan Rickman interview contained in Natalie Anglesey's - The Show Show, 8-10 from 28 June, 2007.
We would be forever grateful and are lining up a large queue of our firstborn children that we will gladly give you if you could be so kind as to make these recordings available for us to listen to.
Awaiting and hoping for your positive response!
