He had a massive following before the major labels even came to him about the record. Now, I'm not to fond of the song, but I'll give credit when credit is due - you can't deny the fact that Soulja Boy is a very smart and driven kid! Most kids at that age are chasing members of the opposite sex and being a pain in the ass to their parents, and not developing marketing and business strategies.
