I think there should be a link to this video from the main ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ F1 page, rather than having to sift through to ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Team and then F1 blogs.

I believe a lot of people will think that Murray hasn't posted a video if there isn't a link to it from the main site and this is the main reason I come back to the site after race day.

I'm sure that a lot of people want to see Murray's videos and hear his thoughts. I say put it on the main F1 page!

Do you think Lewis Hamilton made the right choice in 'sacking' his father as Manager?

Could his outburst at the team during and after the Melbourne race have been a consequence of not having his dad around to help him keep things in perspective?

Murray - guess you did video piece before Brembo refuted the Brake Disc failure. It was apparently a Red Bull made part that failed - hub to wheel interface or similar.
Looks like weather for Malaysia will be wet so maybe another exciting race ahead?

Hamilton couldn't get past Alonso in Melbourne once it got dry - just like the Bahrain situation. Do you think passing in the dry used to be a lot easier in formula one, and what do you think could be done to increase it if there's no rain?

Do you, like me, welcome the return to no refueling?

Wasn't in James Hunt that use to say that it was the first to switch tyres to the changing conditions that would get the most benefit? If so then JB sure proved that point on Sunday!

Personal I feel that without refueling the teams can now be more creative with their pit stop strategies. And I think is even more true now that the pit lane has to be clear before the car can be released. Do you have any insights on this?

They prated company so his dad can run his own business with Mark Brudell, he is still involved in Lewis management and is now vetting a new manager of which there have been many applications.

Stop believing everything you read and actually do some research because it's ridiculous the stuff that people are coming out with.

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton is seeking a new manager after ending his business relationship with his father.

Anthony Hamilton has represented his business interests during his successful move into Formula One and handled his career since he was just eight-years-old.

Speaking to Autosport magazine, he said: "I'm 25 now - and I think it was inevitable that there had to be change at some point.

"Over the past few years, we looked around to see if we could bring someone else into the picture to help with the situation - whether to help with guidance, or sponsors, or whatever it was. We looked at it and I just never felt comfortable with anyone else. At the time I loved my dad being my manager and taking care of things, because I trust him.

"Other managers you hire as employees, but my dad is my dad. I know he does things for only the right reasons, and I can just trust him with my full heart. But all of this time we were discussing bringing someone else in, we never quite had the confidence to do it. I think we're now at the point where we are looking to take that step - and I think it is a positive step. I've been in F1 for quite a while now and I wouldn't have been able to do it without him. He's done a fantastic job. But he's done that job."

Now, does that suggest that he sacked his dad,stop believing the likes of DC and Jake and the daily mirror.

dane, I love it how people like you think the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ is biased towards Button. After 8 race wins they just cannot see that Button is one of the best drivers on the grid. I see it differently, and I can speak fairly on this because I am a fan of both. In 2007 and 2008, Button and David Coulthard plus the luckless Anthony Davidson were completely ignored by ITV due to the Hamilton phenomena. In Australia on sunday Button correctly got most of the attention after the race because he was FIRST. Lewis was filmed during the race because he was struggling in the pack due to his inability to make the rubber work and decide for himself what to do. Sure, he overtook Button at the start, but Button had been in an incident and who was ahead when the flag fell? The 2009 World Champion who showed why he is world champion. He acted independently and reacted to the situation he was in correctly,and Lewis still has to learn to do this, as he will do as he gathers experience. If the tables are turned I am sure Lewis will recieve just as much attention. We should just accept that Button won by using his brains on Sunday, he put himself in the situation where he could capitalise if Vettel retired, as he duly did. I know some people may not be able to comprehend that Button beat Hamilton, but it happened, so let's just all look forward to the next race.

I think Nico's drive is worth a mention-he is always a very solid performer and I for one am a big fan. With the right car, he could easily be world champion in the future.

Anthony, you have got it absolutely right and as for the idea from some that Murray is biased is grossly unfair. He is always extremely complimentary of any superb performance. The fact that he has the judgement to see talent and is passionate should not be confused with personal preference. Murray has always enjoyed this quality, I know from being fortunate to have once worked with him almost 50 years ago. Nothing has changed in him other than the added finer judgement that comes with maturity and experience. The fact too that at 80 he still presents as he does is as extraordinary as it is enjoyable. Thanks for the great vids, we all miss you you were the best commentator because of your passion and your exitement for the sport! I have recently been watching races from 1992 when there was no refueling the cars seem to follow each other alot more easily what do you think could be done to improve the technical problems of following another car closley in 2010 ?

Dane how old are you? Because you sound like some stroppy 12 year old. I think you have been very rude to Murry, this man is 80 years old and has seen everything there is to see in F1. If he wants to give his opinion on someones performance then you should repect it, after all you don't have to read it or listen to it. Please remember that this is the "British Broadcasting Corporation", so why would a British commentator not be happy to see a British driver win a race. That said Murry has always been respectful of any driver from any country that has performed well.

The reason why some people defend Hamilton is that too many people believe everything they read in the media,which lets be honest isn`t entirely accurate.I think in this day and age we all know how the media work,and they do tend to overreact and exaggerate things.

Button got praised by the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ last year and for this race as he won a world championship last year,and drobe a great race in melbourne.Hamilton got praise from ITV as he nearly won a wdc in his first year,and pushed the very talented Alonso all the way.And then Hamilton won the WDC the following year in dramatic style.Both drivers earned the right to get praised as they drove some fantastic races to earn themseleves WDC titles,as did Alonso and Raikonnen etc in past seasons.

My question to you is: when do you think people will stop seeing Jenson Button as a mediocre driver and realise he is the real deal?

And... Despite what a good race the Australian GP was, do you think it was the wrong decision to ban refuelling, and is there anything you would like see done to improve the excitement in F1?

As for the media hype up between Lewis and Jenson.
Why should there be one? Both are amazing people with skills almost legendary or they wouldn't be racing in this Formula let alone in the same amazing Team.
JB will win some. LH will win some. It's the way they do it that makes me smile. Both have style and flair but at different parts of the races.
Already people have been mirorring you two to Senna and Prost.
Drive for it! You both got each other covered as a team :) Go McLaren!

Great review, as always. With rain forecast for this weekend, my fingers are firmly crossed for another Melbourne in Malaysia!

I have a question for you, and it may not be so relevant this season: I still think Nick Heidfeld will be occupying Michael Schumacher's seat at Mercedes by the end of the season, but given Michael's current form in adapting to 2010 specifications, do you think he would have fared any better than Luca Badoer and Giancarlo Fisichella in the notoriously difficult Ferrari F60 last year, if he had been able to drive?

Perhaps Kingcoul could use his superior command of grammar and syntax to explain the sentence above? Or, better yet, allow Dane and everyone else a little typing latitude.

Great video Murray. two hours of race summarised in 5 minutes. Great. Lewis is getting stronger and stonger race by race and season by season. Most of the guys have been in F1 more than him. He became the champion without experiencing all these. Now he will come stonger and make wise decisions in Malaysia. Cant wait for another great race weekend and exciting in Malaysia.

This race analysis is flawed in many ways, but I was always taught to respect my elders so I will refrain from making any derogatory comments!

In a sport where overtaking is suppose to be near impossible lewis hamilton made no less than 10 thrilling overtakes (and jenson button 1), and had it not been for a second pit stop would probably had made another 2 to fight for the win after starting 11th!.. based on those stats draw your own conclusion!!

Lewis Hamilton made 10 successful overtaking manoeuvres but Jenson Button made only 1. Hmmm. Perhaps starting further down the grid had something to do with this? Or waiting longer to change to slick tyres? Or being brought in for an extra pit stop?

Jenson Button only passed 1 car because he only _needed_ to pass 1 car. If Vettel's car had lasted to the end would Jenson have won? It didn't look likely at the point where Vettel went out, but who knows? If Vettel had won he would have been hailed as the hero, having passed NO cars at all. That's what comes of being quickest all weekend and starting on pole. Hamilton wasn't quickest, so he _needed_ to pass other cars, and he did a brilliant job of it.

If Lewis Hamilton had been left out on track instead of coming in for a second pit stop would he have won? Well, we've yet to see Lewis and Jenson in a wheel-to-wheel contest in the same car with a win at stake, and I think it's genuinely hard to call this one. But I hope we get to see it more than once this season.

I suspect Lewis would have found it harder to get past Jenson than anyone else on the track, and certainly harder than the Hamilton fans believe. And Jenson would find it harder to get past Lewis than anyone else on the track, and certainly harder than the Button fans believe. Why? Because they are in the same car, in the same team. So they have more or less equal machinery, they know each other's set up, they are familiar with each other's strengths and weaknesses, and there is more than a little incentive for them not to take each other off the track.

More wins for Button please.
And for Hamilton as well.

Wouldn't it be good if the only two British drivers on the grid finished first and second in the Drivers Championship, whatever the order?
