I'm sure you've noticed a dramatic change in the tone of the coverage about the Beijing Olympics during the past two weeks.

A month ago China was under increasing international , but the changed all that.

Now the country has the world's sympathy and support as it comes to terms with the extent of the terrible natural disaster.

It's going to be very interesting to see if that tone will change again in the weeks leading up to the Games.

After several days walking along the Great Wall of China, we had a great couple of days in Beijing to round off our trip.

There was sightseeing, sunshine, smog, singing and a poignant end to an athletics test event at the Olympic Stadium.

Now all I have to master before I return in August is how to say "cheese" in Chinese.
