Beyond Boundaries III - Ecuador
Ever since Beyond Boundaries Africa finished, we've been innundated with emails asking us how to apply for the next series. Well now we can reveal all.
Diverse Bristol TV are looking for young people with disabilities to take part in the next expedition, which will take place in the volcanic landscapes and dense rainforests of Ecuador.
If you're aged between 16-21 and think you're up to the challenge then why not apply? You need to be available for four weeks during March/April 2007.
There are several ways to apply:

A member of the production team will then contact you if they're interested in taking your application further.

Please please please please please please please please please please - I beg you - PLEASE don't bring beyond Boundaries back. It's such a cliche: disabled people doing outward bound courses to show how able they are. Oh god no not another series. Am I the only one who hates, loathes, worries about, despises and cannot understand why they did a first series let alone a second and, no god, now a third? And isn't ageism a kind of disablism? What on earth is going on. Can it, ban it, stop it, kill it.
I'm only 21 but I'm not able enough to do that kind of physical activity. If you take the programme's philosophy as given, this means I can't push myself and am therefore rubbish. What is all this with pushing your body if it doesn't work properly? Please, stop. Oh please.
Why is the next series of beyond boundries only for young adults between 16/21 why can't us oldes get involed. I would love to particpate as a young spritely 40 something and maybe those yougsters need a little supervision.
I find men in wheelchairs attractive, good looking or not. However the more good looking the better...PLEASE get a sexy young man in a wheelchair on the programme? I would tune in...
im a dissabled kayak instructor and duke of edinburgh award leader. becoming dissabled has just made me try harder, i know i cant keep up when walking but that did not stop me doing my wgl(walking group leader) training at the mnational mountain centre- plas y brennin. i would love to participate in beyond boundaries in some way. i have come to terms with my dissabilty which was forced upon me when serving the public as a police officer. i enjoy inspiring young people to try new experiences or just to finish what they have already started, it amazing when you say to an able bodied young person complaining that they cant do something,'im a criple , i can do that'. they suddenly try harder.

In answer to people complaining about a 3rd show, it's one of those things that is a choice for the person wanting to do it, being there for the second series it did change my life, maybe not the best experince but it changed me so no regreats my end.

Hey. I was one of the very fortunate (in my eyes) ten to be chosen to go to Ecuador and it has to be the best thing I have ever done; I learnt so much about myself and how to cope in the real world as I am only 16. I completely empathise with the idea that this sort of thing may be out of some people's reaches physically (or maybe it's not your idea of fun) but I really enjoyed myself and if I had the chance to do it all again I would.
Sounds good! and Ecuador is a great place for adventures and for bringing the best out of people... so good luck to whoever gets chosen
