There are two disability related seasons of programmes on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ at the moment.
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Three's Autism season has been running for a few weeks now and has featured programmes such as The Autistic Driving School and Autism, Discco and Me. The season will conclude next Thursday at 9 PM with the second half of Autistic Superstars, which follows a group of talented young people with autism as they prepare to perform live at a London venue.
Next week, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Four will feature two evenings of programming supported by the Headroom campaign, which will explore attitudes to mental health. The Out of Mind season will be broadcast on Monday the 17th and Wednesday the 19th of May from 7.30 PM. It will feature a mixture of repeats, such as Stephen Fry's The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive, and new programmes including Sectioned, which follows 3 men as they make their way through the mental health system and Mental: a History of the Madhouse.
Remember, if you miss any of the above programmes when they go out on TV, they will be available to view on the iPlayer for at least 7 days, or longer if the show gets repeated on any ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ channel.

A lot of our kids won't even talk let alone associate with anyone else and singing is something that rarely happens, my son has never done it. The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ one with the black presenter I can't recall his name, was quite good and on again tomorrow, the jury is out trying to introduce Britains got Talent with our children... The 'norms' are bad enough ! I'm not sure this approach would work at all with most autistic, I'm betting they searched high and low just to involve the few they did... I'm never convinced awareness on TV works anyway, but there are those who want to see it... The bright spot was one autstic lad refusing to be filmed and leaving the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ presenter outside the house.. sorry end of, now that is more likely ! when some of our kids say that's it, even the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ has to back off !
