Perhaps a little later
you'll have a chance to talk to our man in Chechnya here on the Blog. I'm not promising anything.
And apologies to Big Sis who sent this yesterday but it somehow got lost somewhere.
"While I am not Welsh, I live with a Welshman (and a Scot, as it happens, but that's another story). I attach a greeting to you from him on this, his Saint's Day. It is my lovely friend Dafydd, nearly 17 years old, and still smiling. The picture was taken a few years ago, but is particularly appropriate today as it combines the Saint with the symbol. Hope you like it as much as I will like seeing your Mandarin (if and when you ever share it with us)."
And that does remind me that card is still sitting here. I'll see what I can do.
Sis,
It looks like you've kidnapped my son's dog, but she's only around four years old. Lovely dogs, collies, especially if kept slim. Tom's was a stray in norn iron, and is so slim we speculated on a wee bit of lurcher blood. She's wonderful to watch at full run and can run all day. Loses to greyhounds over the first 100 meters, but they come home well behind and exhausted.

I love the daffodil halo/thought bubble arrangement!
Diolch yn fawr, Big Sis! Lovely picture
Following from Wednesday's Eurovision song contest feature on Israel, should we expect Chechnya to be part of Europe now too? Is this what they mean by european expansion.
Just read the newsletter....not quite getting the Dirk Bogarde reference; illumination please?
witchiwoman - Bogarde - bu**ered or to use our term - bloggered
Aw, thanks, Eddie! I'm sure St. David will forgive you (Dafydd forgives everything, as long as he's loved - which he is).
And thanks to fellow froggers for loving him, too. The picture, incidentally, was completely unposed, and is my very favourite one of him. He is a truly lovely, and lovable, dog.
Witchiwoman: I think it's rhyming slang for b*ggered.

I was wondering about that too. I think it means that Mr. Mayor needs to take lessons from Fifi in the art of rhyming slang.
H.
Great Blog.
Big Sis
A lovely lovely photo! thankyou!

Lovely dog.
Thanks everyone, got it now!! (and will probably use frequently in memory of a lovely chap)
Just heard your trail, did the jumper jump? Horrific springs to mind...
Eric - re newsletter - places ending in 'ya: how about Kenya?
Ohhh... for a dreamy moment I thought you'd said: "We're trying to find another place FOR ya to visit."
Aw, Big Sis - he's truly scrumptious! I love Borders, they're so bright and energetic.
We have a vaguely stupid but very friendly and obedient Staffie-X called Brindy who thinks all people are on the planet just for him. He's a star too.
:o)
Oh Eddie...Eddie...Eddie, I loved tonight's show! It was just the right balance of serious and light-hearted pieces (the radio equivalent of a dramedy!) and I thought the gentle yet pointed way that you revealed the Newsnight poll about Ming Campbell was great - you really ran with that brilliantly, after he complimented the British public on their intelligence. I thought all pieces were interesting and thought-provoking. You did well getting an informed person on air, just a few minutes after the Silicon/Silicone thing was announced and it ran like clockwork (at least to my ears). Bravo! It was a really good show tonight.
big sis - that really is a beautiful photo of a beautiful dog.
thanks!
The blog is erratic at the moment. A few of the regulars are also leaving comments and chatting at the back-up here:
Just in case it stops again!
Well! The blog is blue tonight! Honest, checked on the other computer .. all happened as the moon was totally eclipsed ~~~~~~~~~~very strange look :-(
Will someone please change the text colour or the background colour so we can see what's what?
If this is the promised improvement, give me the old broken blog back!
Fifi ;o)
Oh Big Sis, he's lovely! (And I'm more of a cat girl really..) He looks like my favourite dog in the world, whose name is Jack. He has the same jolly smile :-)
Appy: I know you're a cat lady (it's come up before in conversation), but I'm so glad you appreciate a happy, smiling collie.
And Whisht, ah, Whisht, I knew you'd like him.
ChrisP: Collies are VERY special, quite unlike any other breed.
Silverfox - My dog doesn't chase foxes. So a very lovely dog for you.
NickiN - Thanks. You'd like him and he'd like you. And I loved your posting on Blue, btw. Very very funny.
