Every day here is different.
I've just recorded an interview with someone, and asked, for the first time in my life...THIS question:
"Anchovy paste?"

And, presumably, the answer was "yes".
Oh please save for the last 3/4 of the prog so I can hear!
Eddie,
When I want to send a present that is quintessentially English to friends abroad, I opt for Gentlemen's Relish. Tasty, easy to ship, doesn't go off (or has it already?).
Eddie,
Winter. Cosy on my armchair. Sitting by the fire. I take the toast from the toasting fork, spread it with butter and a scraping of Gentlemen's Relish. The taste! Salty and rich; fishy and caramelised.
The smacking of the lips!
The sheer Englishness of it all! As Vintage Krug is to a bottle of Tizer, so Gentlemen's Relish is to a jar of Marmite.
I'm not falling for the bait.
Mm, my mouth's watering already.
Eddie:
When o when are we going to see your name in Mandarin?
You did say you'd show us sometime, didn't you?
(and don't think that by ignoring this it'll go away .....)
Should Eddie present :-
HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU ?
Vote proposed by Big Sister:
Now, Jonnie, on this vote I've proposed, I'm dismayed to find that, already, 75% are voting 'No'. I suspect that some of Eddie's team mates are muscling in on our refuge ...... Or other troublemakers elsewhere, perhaps?
*essence*
I've been cheated! I was looking forward to hearing the important issues of the day concerning anchovy paste, and all it get is nonsense about anchovy essence.
I feel betrayed...
oops - it WAS essence. Sorry!
Post it on the beach, Sis. I voted yes!
xx

I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to a salty question.
OK, I'm off to the naughty step.
Ooh yes Jonnie and Big Sis -- fantastic idea! I've just voted and it's now about 75% saying 'yes' it seems. He'd be fabulous. I would love to hear him and Paul Merton sparking off each other. Yes please!
Just voted "Yes". But if Eddie does it, I'll need advance notice or I'll miss it.
