I tried listening to this program several times. The previous programme, whilst not perfect, was an attempt at a serious news discussion programme.

This, isn't. It is lightweight and quite frankly very missable

I agree with above. Too "Fluffy" for my liking.

It was advertised as " Just me in my box with my headphones on and talking whatever YOU want" So far from it that it reminds me of 50 years ago and "Womens Hour". I switch off except last Monday when he who should not be mentioned by us was going to talked about (must of been hallucinating), never mind there are better informative places to get information about what is going on in Scotland and its not the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ anymore.

Can't say it was able to hold my interest. Too much like Loose something or other.

If Kay (with an e) really wanted to hear what people want to say she'd stop cutting them off. Rude, self-opinionated and supercilious. As RoandomScot said at #1, the previous programme, wasn't good, but this is pathetic. Lightweight, airy-fairy, and largely irrelevant.
Vacuous rubbish to keep the Scottish voices subdued. 'loose women' I could do without, and this too. Pathetic offering from a sub-standard ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳.

"The Steamie" for the modern-age. Of no consequence nor interest.

You really want to know what what we want to talk about? You really, really want to hear what things matter in our lives? What things get us aerated?

Ok then... How about you start with the anti-Scottish, Anti-independence stance that the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ consistantly takes?

And I mean in all its' subtle, but blatant forms!

Yeah, lets have some journalistic guts for a change rather than the current unionist mince that the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ think is either entertaining, valid, educational or useful as a service to the people of Scotland?

I have news for you... It is all propaganda and you know it.

Luckily however, the more you push your propaganda, the more it becomes obvious. The more you try to disguise it, the more visible it appears... and like a fly in a web, the more you desperately thrash around, the closer we get to the glorious inevitable.

Scottish independence is not an option... It is an inevitability... It will ultimately happen. True patriotic Scots know that we will win, we will just win just that one time and the union with England will be no more. It is as simple and clear as that!

With our undying patience, the time is coming.

If you want serious and worthy go to Radio 4.

I like the show, I adore the presenter, and no matter what the lady does she will never please everyone.

Loose Women format is so tired... Nae you keep moanin' about an early start, welcome to the real world!

Strangely enough, against all my expectations, I like the show.

This, coming from a Radio 4 addict, is quite something. I only started listening to Radio Scotland a few months ago when I stumbled across Bryan Burnett and kinda got caught up in it.

Overall, I think Radio Scotland is pretty poor and particularly in comparison with radio 4 - but then, everything is.

Thing is, I like Kaye Adams: it's certainly no worse than it's predecessor, which was truly duff.

Currently, I'm accidentally listening to the duff Fred McCaulay show - they are appealing for the audience to send in ideas. Kaye is appealing for ideas. Bryan Burnett wants total interactivity (unless your name is Frank Zappa etc).The sports folk depend on phone ins. Radio Scotland is, de facto, a phone in.

Radio Scotland seems to have this one strategy - the audience entertain themselves, facilitated by the presenters.

So if it's duff it's because the station has no ideas of it's own and that the audience are either lacking in imagination or are so uninspired by the prospect that they are keeping their thoughts to themselves - or - those who have any ideas are already tuned into radio 4.

But, despite itself, I like it - it's all the things the other bloggers say it is - but once you accept that, hey, it's mindless blethering: what did you expect?

Andrew Marr? Melvyn Bragg? Jenny Murray? Johnathan Dimbelby?

I have just listened to "Call Kay". Abortions being the subject. It's strange how this woman is allowed to present this show as she is far too opinionated to be regarded as neutral, almost on any subject, including abortion and particularly politics, which is particularly damaging to our nation. It came across that she favoured advertising abortion, and in my opinion the show became an advert to advertise abortion.

Similarly to Kirsty Wark, this always happens with this woman, it doesn't matter what the subject is, she is unable to withhold her own opinion and her anti-Scottish views, is it possible that ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Scotland favour this type of employee.

"Call Kay" should be removed from the airwaves. Could you please replace this presenter with someone more suitable?

Kaye is required to play Devil's Advocate on occasion. It goes with the territory.

Do you really want someone totally impartial? I doubt such a person exists. Perhaps, like me, you want to hear and read opinions which reinforce your/our prejudices.

Perhaps there should be a referendum on the question of abortion.

Perhaps only women should be permitted to vote on the issue. What do men know of such things?

Indeed, the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ has a duty to be impartial as enshrined in its charter and every other presenter on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ manages it fine. So why should Ms Adams be any different?

I now prefer Radio 5's phone-in with Nicky Campbell as it's balanced and tends to look at the big news topics of the day.

Sorry to have mislead you but I don't really have a problem with law on abortion or people advertising it. You have to remember that in my view I and other Scots are forced to pay for a national TV network which deliberately works against us and our nation. The problem I have is with politically biased presenters, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Scotland appears to have an extremely large amount of Unionist supporting staff and ex-members of Unionist parties entrenched in their payroll and these people seem to abuse their position and the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ by constantly twisting news to be biased with a pro-Unionist slant. Devils advocate and blatant mass mind washing are two completely different things.

After hearing Kaye Adams in action during the election campaign I'm afraid to tell you that in my opinion this woman comes into this category and aims to let us know, just as she did with her opinion on advertising of abortion.

For every mother there is a father, who BTW has no say in such matters and this in my view is something that is wrong with the law on abortion as it stands. Family law in all respects is remarkably bigoted towards women and against men. Look at the law on access when unmarried.

Someone in Kaye Adams position should be impartial beyond reproach and as I do not see this as the case, it is possible that it is damaging to my nation. As I have to pay for it, I would far rather see someone more suitable in this roll.

This would only be a start.

morning , dead simple really , Kaye was brought in to do a specific job which ,unfortunately, she is really succeeding in.
the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ in Scotland didn't and in fact still don't like what the very vocal part of their listenership have to say about a large part of it's output.
they forget that the vocal part of the listenership along with everyone else pay the wages and the expenses and therefore are entitled to their opinions being heard.
as far as I was lead to believe ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Scotland is supposed to be a public service broadcaster and NOT a state broadcaster or even worse the media arm of a political party.
