Edith Bowman's Album Show
Another Country with Ricky Ross is on a six-week break for the summer during which time brings her album show to Radio Scotland. Edith can usually be found presenting Radio 1's Weekend Breakfast show. A Fifer from Anstruther, Edith is excited about coming to Radio Scotland and we asked her to write us a few words explaining what the new show is all about.
Proper countdown has begun. I'm so utterly excited about my new show on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Scotland, it's been a long time coming. As I write this in my little office under the stairs I am literally surrounded by CDs in various piles for different uses. Djing, weekend breakfast show on Radio 1 and my new album show which starts this Friday, YIPEEEEEEEEE. So much music and I get sent bucket loads of stuff, which I really do try and listen to, it's just trying to find the time to do so. I have a pile I have to get through today which includes , , and many, many more. I really can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the new show, to do a show purely about music is a dream come true. It's all about the albums you should have in your collection. I really want to try and encourage people to get back to listening to albums, from start to finish. Anyway I'm off to take the small child for his 2 year check up before I dive back into my pile of tunes and see you on Friday.
Edith Bowman's Album Show is on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Scotland, Fridays, from 25 June 2000-2200.

Welcome Edith. That's about the best two hours I've spent listening to Radio Scotland.
I think the new Dreadzone album 'Eye On The Horizon' should be given out on the National Health Service.
Maybe you can demonstrate to the nation why that is the case - 'American Dread' 'Walk Tall' 'Tomorrow Never Knows'

Thrilled you've discovered the Steve Winwood back catalogue - try 'Walking In The Wind' by Traffic.
Also, if you're in discovery mode - try 'Family': Burlesque, My Friend The Sun, Glove etc....
