An end of the week blog by Festival Café runners; Rebecca Davies, Sophie Stephenson, Andrea Mckinnon and Maria Smith.

With today's busy and impressive line-up we were all anxious to get to the venue and meet our acts.

The fab 50's of Glasvegas fame took over the backstage area in their flamboyant 50'sm polkadot dresses for the girls and electric blue suits for the boys. They were quite a sight, and performed beautifully. Funnily enough contrary to the name of the show, only 1 out of 6 performers hails from Scotland. In contrast to their doo-wopping were the sublime Bevan sisters with their performance of Dulcis Christie by Grancini. Their lovely mother was on hand and offering coaching and motherly advice while the girls did their sound check. One of the girls had just jumped off the train from performing at the proms in London, but still managed to look radiant.

The very talented and funny Mike Mcshane made us all laugh by describing the espresso machine as 'incontinent' as we struggled with the new, snazzy machine which was being very temperamental.

Les Dennis and his lovely family then showed up and provided great entertainment, as their young children became very keen on playing with the colourful coffee pods and water cooler.

Today was jam packed with very unique and captivating acts, which made 45 minutes seem more like 10 minutes.
