My partner of 2yrs plays his ps3 all the time it does'nt bother me he enjoys it n i play my ds it been that way for 2 yrs. i say if it keeps him happy n quiet let him play! can u give a shout out to my lil boy lemar

I'm a 360 FANATIC and my girlfriend hates the fact that I play it! She loves to make snide comments about my Xbox such as;

'Why are you never TOO TIRED for your xbox?'

The Xbox does cause arguments but I'm addicted to Call of Duty 4.

No woman has ever got between me and my Xbox... In fact, I am on the hunt for a hardcore female geek who can school ME on some Street Fighter IV!!!

i am a firm believer in things always balancing out..when my girl is sat watching coronation street i dont get to change channels or start a convo as i interrupt the show. Therefore my version of corronation street is fifa online ;)

I bought my husband a PS3 for xmas 18 months ago, at first I was like 'Why do I keep going to bed on my own when you're playing that thing', then one day he asked me to have a go at COD4, I had one go and now hooked. We argue all the time over whos go it is next, though he prefers COD5 and i'm still COD4 all the way. Especially with the whole money situation of late, we spend vitually our whole weekends playing COD4/5. Love it!!! Katy from Cambridge x

i think that ps3 is what makes my marriage work. take all my frustration out beating him up on virtual fighter. im a serious hard core ps3 specie,,, hmmm i wonder whether thats why he married me!! lol

Its all about balance, there is a time and place for gaming as long as you make time for OTHER things lol.
My ex an I used to stay up late on weeknds and play pro evo...and I loved it. I got so good that I could on occassion beat him and his mates! Bring it on.....
It also taught me how to understand the beautiful game of Football...offside used to baffle me until I started to play....
gaming is a good way to relax, I dont go anywhere without my DS and I also love the Wii

I know I'm not going to be popular after saying this but......

I personally would not date someone who is a compulsive gamer. Reason being, I do not understand why a guy would be more interested in wires, animation and a screen instead of a sultry and gorgeous young lady who is made of human flesh! This certainly does not make sense.

I agree there needs to be a balance. Come on, think about it, would Street Fighter IV cook you a square meal, listen to your woes, run your bath, rub your back or even walk with you down the isle and say 'I do' to the Vicar in the church? I think not LOL

i do agree with ms princess georgina i have spent years trying to understand it. Its more confusing as my boyfreind is otherwise very intelligent but he he turns into a complete neandathol when the xbox is on and he also still watches stupid cartoons on saturday mornings and he's 26!.

However this may have a deeper meaning ie a resistance to actually grow up and accept he has to be a man now? possibly. However on another level if you compare how passionate these guys are about gaming to us reading magazines about total rubbish that no-one really cares about ie kerry katona etc and shoe shopping, soaps, facebook quizzes it is kind of the same and i'd rather my man did that than getting drunk all the time or fighting so if thats how he realeases let it be.

I got upset the other day when his xbox broke and i heard him shout 'oh no my baby!' and walked in to see him rubbing the console i stupidly thought he was talking about me when he said my baby and told him NEVER to call the xbox my name again. I have recently mentioned on twitter starting a support group for xbox widows such as myself!

My Wife would love me spending more time with her whenever I'm hom, and feels if i'm playing video games rather then time with her i almost lover her less and love the PS3 more !!

Ok I can understand how women can come to that conclusion simply from the fact it looks like I do prefer playing video games rather then spend time with her but if she was for exampel to go out with her friends, get her hair done or go swimming etc instead of spend time with me I wouldn't hold it against her so now we've discussed it like adults and I end up playing the PS3 whenever she's asleep !
