VIRTUA TENNIS 2009 REVIEW

Mike Anthony | 16:06 UK time, Tuesday, 30 June 2009

Wimbledon is now in full flow and the strawberries and cream are in abundance, so of course you know they had to bust both tennis games around the same time. I've decided to Iook at for Sega on the Wii. Whilst T looks at Grand Slam. Now let me say from the off, it also has MotionPlus just like Grand Slam. MotionPlus and a few new tweaks are the only improvements to the game. (That's if you class players stumbling over as improvements?). There's now on-line game play and a bit of a arcade feel to Virtua, which gives Grand Slam the slight edge over its rival.

Virtua still plays and performs well graphically on the Wii and next gen consoles, plus the characters look like the players. It has all the whistles and bells. The players have changed and there are some fun courts. I also love the fact that a very handsome man by the name of Mike Anthony could look so lean and be so quick around the court. (You can create your own character).

Okay realistically its not exactly gonna train you up for Wimbledon, but its a good substitute if you wanna get the tennis fever. You can cheer on Andy Murray whilst doing and overhead smash with your wii. If you can't handle the sub standard graphics the game looks very good on the next gen consoles. So you won't be disapointed.
