My Philosophy: The chauffeur
Have you ever been in the back of a cab when the driver has decided to tell you his life philosophy? Well, to kick off our new feature – My Philosphy – we asked chauffeur Len Board to share some of his pearls of wisdom.
The best piece of philosophy I've ever seen crossed my path only three days ago:
Never worry,
Never hurry,
Never fill your hat
With curry.
I've lived my life by this every day since then and it has worked perfectly thus far. It's also far cheaper than those appalling self-help courses so beloved of our colonial cousins.
Complain about this postOur philosophy is "Before you judge another, walk a mile in their shoes. Then if you do judge them you're a mile away and you've got their shoes"
Complain about this post'Walk a mile in the other person's shoes' - what marvellous philosophy and a great image too - but so easy to mock! I so much enjoyed that poem on this theme which ended up with dressing up in your sister's clothes but being too embarassed to walk that mile! Can anyone send me a copy of this ditty, or tell me how I can access this again?
