Thanks to Katrina for her inheritance tracks, a couple of christmas's ago my brother-in-law who lives in New England sent us Charlie Brown's Christmas which has just given us such pleasure to share with our now three year old daughter. We both loved peanuts as we were growing up. We love the soothing sounds of Vince Guaraldi and it makes me feel all warm inside and nostalgic for what christmas time and those other special times should be in your perfect dream world.
Inheritance tracks is a great feature. I have heard so many wonderful stories whilst listening to it, and have shed more than one tear!
Before Saturday Live I had dreaded the saturday morning attempts to retain home truths without the voice that prevented it being twee, and something for radio 4 middle england listeners. I found myself at a loss on Saturday mornings. Saturday Live has changed all that. Thanks. Sarah
Complain about this postI posted this on the wrong section... this is my first time, so please forgive me.
Complain about this postJust wanted to say a brilliant show, really enjoyed it but what I really like about this show is the variety of different people on it and different backgrounds and their stories. This is a lovely lively morning wake you up show which I listen to in the car in cornwall. wonderful. keep it up. :)
Wow, thanks to Katrina adding her Inheritence Tracks, I was moved by literature, music, and good old fashioned story telling that took me back to a time when life was good, and if you allow yourself to be transported through what you hear, it will indeed make you realise that it can be good again.
Complain about this post...the piano reminded me of Linus playing, but also the many old movies me and dad used to watch every week, and kept doing so right up to the day he died.
All it took was someone being honest, and being themselves to move me. Such simplicity for such a result.
Yes, pure truth from the heart that touches the heart.
Keep up the inspiring work Radio 4 !
