Greg and Karen are sent home in Week Four

Greg Wise and Karen Hauer's time in the competition has sadly come to an end, as they bow out of Strictly 2021 in Week Four.

They've given us many great weeks of performances, but this Saturday saw them land bottom of the leaderboard with their upbeat Samba to Macarena by Los Del Rio. Unfortunately their routine didn't impress the Judges and following the public vote they found themselves in their first Dance Off, facing Judi Love and Graziano Di Prima.

When making his decision, Judge Anton Du Beke said: "I felt that the nerves got to both of the couples in the Dance Off, which is not surprising really, and they both made quite a lot of mistakes, but one couple maintained an element of composure through the dance and that would be Judi and Graziano."

Fellow Judges Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse agreed with Anton, while Head Judge Shirley said she would've saved Greg and Karen. But the majority rule by the panel meant Judi and Graziano remained, while Greg and Karen were sent home.

When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Greg said: “I have had an amazing time, I feel unbelievably privileged and thank you all for having me."

Karen also had kind words for Greg, adding: “It has been a blast, thank you for the amazing lunches, thanks for the quality of work, and for being an amazing student. I have enjoyed our moments in the classroom and just having fun with you, I’ve really enjoyed it."

We're going to miss the energy this couple always brought to the dance floor, but you can catch them together for one last time on tomorrow's It Takes Two, on 成人论坛 Two at 6.30pm!
